Leap Works

Services

Payload, data and missions for lunar exploration

From a single kilogram of payload to a complete mission, and on Earth before we fly on the Moon.

What we offer

Six ways to work with us

Each service stands on its own, and together they add up to a complete lunar mission.

01

Payload space

Fly your instrument on the Leap Hopper and reach terrain no rover can. 10 kg available on every flight, sold per kilogram.

02

Surface data

Datasets from our own sensor suite, and data brokering for customers' instruments.

  • Visual scans & DEM
  • Hyperspectral imagery
  • Ground-penetrating radar
  • Neutron & gamma-ray spectrometry
Per mission
03

Complete missions

Dedicated hopper missions for space agencies and companies, from payload definition through operations to data delivery.

Agencies · industry
04

Subsystems

Our guidance, navigation and control system and our hybrid rocket engine, available for other vehicles.

GNC · propulsion
05

Terrestrial flight tests

Test your lunar equipment in flight on Earth, in Luxembourg, before it flies on the Moon.

From 2027
06

Landing camera suite

A deployable camera suite that records a lunar landing, including GNC sensor data, documenting the mission even if the landing fails. No propulsion needed.

For lander operators

Applications

What our hopper enables

Our vehicle can provide services for mapping, prospecting, technology demonstration and infrastructure deployment.

Colour-coded map of the lunar surface

Map

Very high-resolution 3D maps

An astronaut hour costs about $5M. Detailed maps save hours of planning for landing sites and bases.

Prospect

Into permanently shadowed regions

Reach craters expected to be rich in water ice, and map resources in flight with spectrometers, radar and hyperspectral imaging.

Test

Technology demonstration

Fly new lunar subsystems as tech demos, for companies or sponsored by institutions.

Deploy

Distributed infrastructure

Beacons, retroreflectors, repeaters and geophones, placed hop by hop.
